We invite you to participate in the congress entitled "Security, Safety and Insurance: a look at the risks" which will take place on 25 and 26 June 2022 at the Abbaye des Capucins in Montauban. The site will be totally privatized for this great event.

This congress is organized by the University Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier in collaboration with its institutional partners, and will bring together academics, researchers, experts, professionals from the security sector and defence companies.

This event is an opportunity to draw the attention of all those who are in charge of the security of goods and people and to better understand its evolution.

We are indeed living in a period of constant change marked by the emergence of climatic upheavals, crime and terrorism. The protection of people and property is a priority at both national and international level. All of this is directly linked to questions of security and safety, which are themselves marked by the multiplication of risks: public order, delinquency, civil security, industrial safety, health, food safety, environmental safety, etc., so much so that "security and safety" are now everyone's business. The challenges to be met are numerous and although the notion of "risk" has become the central concern of our time, it is still poorly understood and is often managed in an emergency. Against which risks, from citizens to companies, should we insure ourselves today? Should they be insured by the market or should they be transferred to the government? Transferring to insurance has become a solution considered by many economic actors to cope with a crisis situation. Protecting people and property: a challenge for insurers and the State. The notion of risk weighs on every citizen and on companies, and is therefore becoming a major challenge for our society.

It is therefore in this context that this congress will focus on updated solutions and concrete implementations through round tables and numerous workshops with demonstrations.
